I would later on like to change my secondary for my Dervish to assassin. At what point in Factions will I be able to switch secondary? I just want to estimate how long it's going to take me before I can switch.

In the meantime, it appears the best secondary for my Derv is a warrior?

You can already do this if you have:

Completed "Hunted!", and got a profession changer in the Command Post. You can also go to the Great Temple of Balthazar too.

You could also ascend through the Factions mission called 'Nahpui Quarter'. After this mission, you talk to a man [who I believe is named Sehju] to change your secondary profession at the cost of 500g.

I think that only applies to Canthan-born characters, though. Senji, however, will still change a Tyrian or Elonian character's secondary.

You can ascend in any of the campaigns I think. No matter what campaign that char is from.

Yep, I was wrong. However, only Elonian characters can ascend in Elona.

That part I always forget.

Assassin secondary doesn't offer much for derv any more imo. There is shadow walk but its kinda meh.
